School uniform order form
Last autumn, we introduced a fleece with the school logo to our school uniform. These were a special order and are not kept in our general school uniform stock. Please watch out for news on ordering in our school newsletter.
PE KIT:
Each pupil needs a named PE bag containing a PE T-shirt, shorts and plimsolls (daps). Trainers are recommended for field sports (Key stage 2). Football boots (or trainers) may be advised for certain activities. As our PE lessons are frequently outdoors, it is important that children have appropriate clothes to keep them warm. Please could children bring a warm navy blue jumper / hoodie to wear over their PE kits. If you wish, this can be another school jumper. We have a good selection of good condition second-hand jumpers available from the office team. Please email or call the school office if you would like one.
HAIR and MAKE-UP:
No make-up is accepted. Nail varnish is not permitted
Extreme hair colour or style is not permitted; hair with designs cut in will be considered ‘extreme’. Any hair colour that is unnatural and not subtle will be challenged.
Long hair should be tied back with a subtle band or clip. Large hair accessories are not permitted.
JEWELLERY
WE only permit one watch (not internet enabled) and one pair of stud earrings. Earrings must be able to be removed for PE. We do not accept any responsibility for the loss or theft of these items.
Houses:
When your child starts school, they will be assigned a house team. The houses are:
Mendip (yellow), Lyncombe (green), Windmill (blue) and Dolebury (red).
They will win points for their house throughout the year through special efforts and
achievements in class and as part of the wider school community, as well as through house sport, music and other events. Your child will be required to wear a coloured t-shirt to represent their house on Sports Day and for other house events.
Swimming – KS2 only:
Swimmers require a swimming costume (no bikinis) or short trunks and a towel.
School Trips:
Children should wear their uniform when on school trips, unless otherwise notified by their teacher. All permissions for trips and charges will be uploaded to ParentPay.
Winter:
Please ensure your child comes to school with warm waterproof outdoor clothing in the winter as they will still go outside for playtime and other activities. Children in reception will also need wellington boots.
Summer:
Please ensure your child has a sun hat and apply sun cream before they come to school.
Older children may apply their own cream which should be kept in their bags and not share.
No open toed sandals please as they are unsuitable for “school life”.
Jewellery
Children should not wear jewellery to school at any time but if your child has pierced ears, studs may be worn. Large or dangly earrings are not permitted for health and safety reasons.
