Newsletter 4 2024 - 2025

This week, we are looking forward to our first round of parents’ meetings.  It is great to see that almost all families have signed up to meet with their child’s class teachers.  These opportunities to talk about how your child is learning are really important.  Research shows that when parents/carers work in partnership with the school, to support their child’s learning, the child makes additional progress across the year.

This year we are also really pleased that both Ms Ford (SENCO) will be available to meet families on the Tuesday evening and Mrs Evans (Mental Health Support Team) will be available to meet with families on the Thursday evening. Please call into the Nurture Room to speak with them – no appointment necessary.

We are very grateful to our Year 6 class for writing and leading a thought-provoking Remembrance Day service.  It was lovey to hear the children’s prayers, reflecting their thankfulness for what they have and their gratitude to those who gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy today.  Our school councillors and ambassadors then laid a wreath of poppies, coloured by the children, at the War Memorial in Langford.
